I'm on tysabri and following my second covid vaccine I have developed a crop of warts on my hand. I have always been prone to them and usually I self treat with something like Wartner but this time they haven't responded.
Interesting. This may be a coincidence. I don't think natalizumab reduces the trafficking of lymphocytes into the skin. The latter was a question after the first few cases of melanoma were reported in pwMS on natalizumab, but subsequently, this was not found to be a real safety signal, i.e. the event rate was not above what the expected background rate of melanoma.
Dear Prof G, I can also confirm that the newsletters are an excellent read. In fact they are my 'go to' update and I really appreciate too, the time and detail you are going into. There are so many unusual symptoms, sometimes related and other times related to being immune suppressed. I have found that I a lot of medical advisers tend to not be as aware as us patients of potential links and symptoms that crop up with therapies and the disease itself. You gives details that I have waited a long time to hear, especially with regards to women's problems around MS and immune suppression. I thank you on behalf of my family and friends, as when I actually read the answers to lots of my questions and to gain a better understanding of why something isn't right - can alleviate stress and the frustration, we all seem to be experiencing when dealing with HCPs in the past, but also very much, at the moment. Thank you too!
Dear Prof Giovannoni - these are wonderful newsletters. I realise they must take time and effort, but please know they are greatly appreciated for their clarity and range of topics covered. I learn something with each one and I know they will allow me to have more meaningful appointments with my Neurologist. Thank you!
When you do good i say ,when not i say also ... :)
Nice post
