I have never used this site before. As NHS HCPs we have to do biennial refresher training, which I have recently completed. However, but as this is run by the Resuscitation Council the content will be 'kosher'. i.e. good for general consumption. I think everyone in society who can should do a basic first aid and CPR course; it should part of your civic responsibility.

I totally agree with you Prof G. As someone with a son who is choking more regularly I had started looking at these devices. Choking is a real and present danger, we should be getting advice/ supplies from the NHS. Perhaps MS nurses could be utilised for advice and training somehow.

Crikey. I’ve seen such products advertised on Facebook and the like. There is absolutely NO control as to what is advertised and by whom. Might I suggest that the correct product(s) are listed together with any other related legitimate devices, the literature given to patients as required. It is quite astonishing people believe everything they see on Social Media...which is kind of understandable in desperation. You may want to add HSCT (stem cell reboot) to the list - I’ve seen it advertised by a S American healthcare company as a cure all for everybody, regardless of their clinical status. I was almost tempted...but I’ll wait for the outcomes of the UK trials.

I don’t know if I have MS. But I have had problems with breathing. I have felt like am chocking but it’s on air. Some time to the point I need to throw up. I have a Nero appointment in 2 weeks. But the more I read about MS, I feel like I have MS. I’m hoping am wrong.
