A bit downbeat, but in addition to the subscription and one-off donation, you may wish to offer a bequest option.
In my will, I have done this for a couple of MS charities and also instructions to donate my wet bits to the very important Imperial College Tissue bank when I'm done with them. Others should be encouraged to do the same. Many pwMS are not flush in later life due to being unable to work, but willing to bequeath part of their estate.
Thank you for doing this, Prof G! It would be great if, for anything that requires people to pay a subscription, a free or cheaper option is available for those on a low income. Being on means tested benefits is a common criteria. 🤷
As you are aware both MS Selfie and the Micosite are free. I don't expect people who can't afford it or don't think MS-Selfie is value for money to become paying subscribers.
Prof G, in response to topics we want covered...just wondering if you have time whether you could give your opinion on HRT in light of the recent study indicating a significantly increased risk of dementia. I know the research has been mixed but just wondering whether your recommendations have changed in pwMS already at higher risk due to a long history of alzheimer's on the maternal side. Many thanks
So then, nothing has changed, except for the announcement of the appoximate completion? I was confused I guess, I registered but had registered before (?). I am a contributing "member" and was quite happy with things as they stood.
