My current recommendations are based on the now-defunct Vitamin D Council's recommendations:
0-2 years of age 600U per day
2-10 years of age 2,000U per day
10 and above 4,000U per day (this was 5,000U, but the 4,000U dose eas set by EFSA or European Food Safety Agency)
