Q&A 52: timing of your annual flu and COVID-19 vaccines
What would you recommend regarding the timing for people on B-cell-depleting therapies (anti-CD20)?
Question
I wanted to ask you about the optimal timing of flu/COVID shots for people with MS. I just received notifications from the NHS to get them.
From the NYT: "Experts say most people should get vaccinated between mid-September and late October. The C.D.C. recommends getting your shot by the end of October at the latest."
There are obvious exceptions. What would you recommend regarding the timing for people on B-cell-depleting therapies (anti-CD20)? Before or after infusions? Can you get them at the same time?
Does the COVID-19 vaccine reduce my chances of getting long-COVID?
Thanks
