Due to success of MS-Selfie I am going to experiment with a subscription model for MS-Selfie Newsletters pertaining to specific case studies, i.e. non-themed newsletters.
Dear Readers and Supporters of the MS-Selfie Newsletter
The launch of MS-Selfie has been so successful that I am now being inundated with emails and requests for private and personal consultations about the management of your multiple sclerosis. Please note due to academic commitments, I don't have time to do private practice. Is there a middle ground?
Based on the feedback I have had from several readers about crowd funding I am going to switch on the Substack subscription mode for MS-Selfie. The subscription model will be limited to case studies only. All other general or themed Newsletters will be free and open to all subscribers.
In the ‘MS-Selfie Case Study Newsletters’, I will review specific aspects of MS care based on your emails, questions or comments. The specific clinical details will be anonymised and used as an example to discuss my approach to managing other patients with MS with similar problems to yours. Before discussing your problems I will seek permission from you to do so.
Please note the advice given in these case studies will not apply to you specifically as I will not have had the opportunity to see you in person nor will I have all the necessary clinical information pertaining to your case in hand. The case studies will allow other subscribers to learn about my approach to the management of MS, which may have relevance to the management of their own MS. This will hopefully become a crowd sharing platform for the management of MS.
Funds from the MS-Selfie Newsletter subscriptions will be used to administer the site; I am rapidly getting to a point of needing to hire a part-time administrator to proofread the Newsletters, manage my workflow and curate and transfer the contents from the Newsletter onto its companion MS-Selfie microsite. The funds will also be used to compensate future guest writers and if sufficient to support MS research.
Please let me know what you think of this proposal and if you have any questions.
Regards
Prof G
P.S. Please note Substack and Stripe take 13% of all subscriptions to cover their costs. If you can’t afford the subscription and want access to case studies please contact me via email.

Yes I’m happy to pay a subscription.
