MS-Selfie Q&A 10

As a man with MS do you need to cryopreserve sperm before being treated with cladribine? What is the impact of BTK inhibitors on brain volume loss compared to the anti-CD20s? CAR T-cells vs. AHSCT?

Questions

Q1: The current German MS guideline recommends that male pwMS should be informed by their physicians about the possibility of sperm cryopreservation. However, there is no such recommendation in the manufacturer's information. However, this information states that testicular degeneration was observed in one monkey on subcutaneous cladribine. What should I do?

Q2: Are the Bruton Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors (BTKi) superior to the anti-CD20 therapies concerning brain volume loss (BVL) in pwMS? Do the BTKIs, unlike anti-CD20 therapies, normalise BVL?

Q3: You seem to actively promote CAR T-cell therapy as a treatment for MS. How will this therapy stack up against AHSCT (autologous haemopoietic stem cell therapy)? Do you think CAR T-cell therapy will replace AHSCT?
